I think Dan may have got a little caught up in the mayhem that is Sea Otter. It turns out that after a night out at the Kranked Premiere - he missed his flight home. Now that's a man throwing himself into his work! Atta boy Dan! Here are his observations of some of the racing action at Laguna Seca.
Cam McRae

Strong winds whipped the expo area into a swirling dust-bowl - up on the hill the effect was, I'm guessing, much like being sandblasted.

I totally wanted Rachel Atherton to win, partly because she's awesome and partly because she's a fellow Brit, but unfortunately she was pipped to the post in the women's finals by Sabrina Jonnier.

Man Train

Battle of the Yetis in Pro Dual Slalom practice. That's Justin Leov on the left and gloveless Sam Blenkinsop on the right - both from New Zealand. (Thanks to all the readers who emailed me that info! - Cam)

What the.. ha... how?

Lopes looked smooth as ever and qualified top seed, but made a couple of mistakes that opened the door for Greg Minnaar - who won the dual and the dh.
