Dan Barham - Sea Otter Pt. IV

More Racing and More Bikes

Photos by Dan Barham.

Here's Dan Barham's last installment from Sea Otter. It's a great place to watch DH because the course is short enough that you can see all of it as a spectator and all the best riders are usually there. Dan didn't have the same luck with the SRAM dual stunt I'm afraid. Luckily it was captured on video - which you can check out below.

A lot of the DH course is like this - super fast and buff, with some nice scenery... not that you can see it at Mach 5.

Sweet little gapper at the end of the course.

Crowds lining up for the infamous 'log drop' - more of a gentle roller by BC standards.

One thing this course if great for is flat out speed. Pinning it.

Ok confession time, I screwed up. Apparently my schedule saying 'Dual Stunt Finals: 2pm - 3pm' was out of date, and I arrived 3 hours late. Here's an idea of what you (and I) missed.

I'd imagine these guys put together a sick event.

This video shows lots of action - over 8 mins worth.

This one is shorter but the quality is superior.
